Following Matsumuro’s departure, Avex held extra auditions for a substitute and ended up with six new girls. In February 2003, the group released their third album, Dream World. On June 26, 2002, Dream launched its closing launch as a three-member group and their first greatest album, Eternal Dream. And Dream released a best album 777: Best of Goals, an Avex cover album Dream Meets Greatest Hits Avex, and a self-cowl album 777: Another Side Story. After a period without much activity, Dream launched the seventh Anniversary Finest, a best of album that includes songs from the group’s debut as a three-member unit until their latest single and Best Live Hits. This album includes recordings of their live performances on January 1, 2007, the group’s 7th anniversary.
The album reached number 23 on the Oricon charts. Subsequently, dream’s next single, I like Dream World, became their first single to chart throughout the Oricon top 10 since My Will in 2000. In 2004, following the discharge of Dream’s fourth album ID, Ai left Dream to pursue a solo career, bringing the group’s member count down to seven. They participated in the primary a-nation summertime live performance festival held by Avex. The new eight-woman group re-debuted in Inuyasha Merch 2003 with the single Music is My Factor. On June 27, 2007, Dream was reborn because the dance/chorus group DRM in an attempt to shed their image as idols. From 2004-2005, Dream released the singles Pure, Love Technology, and Soyokaze no Shirabe / Story.
